Steve Harvey, a well-known African-American comedian, has made surprising admissions regarding his decision to leave Ghana in search of brighter pastures in America. As he sees it, America is not what most young Africans believe it to be because individuals like him wish they could live in countries like Ghana, where they would be protected for the rest of their lives. E/R: Seven perish in boat accident on Lake Volta

  Seven people have died after a boat capsized on the Late Volta in the Kwahu North District of the Eastern Region. Police Public Relations Officer in the Region DSP Ebenezer Tetteh said the incident occurred at 6pm on Thursday, April 14, 2022.  A passenger boat with 20 persons travelling on the Volta Lake from Dzemeni to Havorkope on the Dwarf Island capsized mid-way after they were caught up in a heavy storm.  Seven persons – five female and two males between the ages of 31 and 60 years – got drowned.
