12 more persons on mandatory quarantine test positive for COVID-19 15 new cases of Coronavirus have been confirmed in Ghana. The number is made up of 12 persons who were mandatorily quarantined by the government and three other persons in the general population. This increases the total case count of the disease to 68 in Ghana with two deaths. “The sudden spike in case incidence is as a result of the mandatory quarantine and compulsory testing for all travelers entering Ghana, as directed by the President,” the Ghana Health Service reported. “Overall, 30 of the 68 cases have been reported in the general population with the remaining 38 cases among persons currently under mandatory quarantine. As of 24 March, total of 1,030 persons are under mandatory quarantine; samples from 863 of them have been tested and 38 confirmed positive,” the GHS added. Pep Guardiola: Manchester City manager donates 1m euros to fight corona virus . Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has donated 1m euros (£920,000) to fight the coronavirus outbreak in Spain. Guardiola, who is at his home in Barcelona, has been working with his lawyers over the past few days to work out the best way of using the money. It will go to a campaign being promoted by the Medical College of Barcelona and the Angel Soler Daniel Foundation. Spain is one of the worst affected countries in Europe. Official figures on Tuesday showed that  2,696 people had died  in the country and close to 40,000 are infected. The money will be used to help purchase medical equipment and protective material for the hospital staff involved in treating those admitted to hospital. Coronavirus Update in Ghana.

 C onfirmed cases of COVID19 The ministry of heath has confirmed two cases of coronavirus  now adding to become 11 . Ghana's coronavirus case  count hits 204 Ghana's has recorded 204 cases of coronavirus,  confirms the Ghana Health Service. (GHS) Until now, the number of cases recorded stood at 195. According to the GHS, "Since the last situational update, Ghana has confirmed nine additional COVID-19 cases, all from Greater Accra region. Four (4) of them have no history of travel nor contact with any confirmed case. Other four (4) have no travel history but are contacts of confirmed cases in Ghana; and one travelled to Ghana from Benin within the past 14 days. "As at 2nd April 2020, Ghana has recorded 204 cases COVID-19 with five (5) deaths. The number of regions reporting cases remain five (5) (Greater Accra, Ashanti, Northern, Upper West and Eastern).
