Check Bishop Agyin Asare's Message To Prez. Akufo Addo and Former Prez. Mahama

Bishop Charles Agyina Asare has said on his virtual sermon on

Sunday 26th July 2020 that his recent comments on the happenings

in the country has put his family and friends into fear and that they

are asking him to stop.

According to him “Some of my loved ones said these politicians and

their supporters, hmmm; they are dangerous ohhh! they can do

something against you oo”.

He said, “My amazement is whether it has come to the place in

democratic Ghana, where I speak and people who are not happy

(basically they disagree with me) and instead of they saying they

disagree with me and stating their side, some of them issue threats,

some insult me and people are saying: ‘Charles, you must be afraid,

beef up your security and don’t sleep at home’”.

The bishop has this information to president Akufo Addo and
former president John Dramani Mahama “Well, our senior

politicians,

H.E Nana Akufo-Addo and H.E John Dramani Mahama, that is how

much your noble profession has been reduced to. It is being said

and perceived that you and your fellows hire thugs to beat and even

get people killed because they disagree with you. Meanwhile, the

Akan name for democracy is ‘Ka bi na me ka bi aman buo’ – ‘speak
your mind and let me speak my mind’ kind of government,

BishopAgyinasare noted.

Bishop Asare has this for opponents that " your threats and insults

won't stop me. I am only warming up". The bishop is on record of

been very vociferous on the current happenings in the country. He

therefore asked his well wishers to rather pray for him because "the

assignment is

divine.

Government can’t afford to reduce taxes on fuel; we’ll lose GH¢4bn revenue –Prez Akufo-Addo.

The President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has dismissed calls on the government to reduce taxes on petroleum products. He said taking such an action will significantly affect the government’s revenues. Addressing the 2022 May Day parade at the Independence Square in Accra, he said the government risks losing about GH¢4 billion if it makes any such move. He added that it is even more untenable because the government is rather looking for more avenues to raise money. “Removing taxes on petroleum products will reduce government revenues by some GH¢4 billion. At this time, when we are determined to expand government revenues in order to increase our capacity to finance our own development, can we afford to reduce tax revenues by GH¢4 billion?” he quizzed. Fuel prices in Ghana have risen sharply in Ghana in the last six months, although they have stayed the same for almost a month. Amidst the numerous complaints from consumers that the situation is causing a strain on their finances as th...
